Local artist Lorinda Bourn has lived in Hurst, TX since 2001. Lorinda has been creative since childhood and earned her BFA at SMU.
In her painting, Lorinda is inspired by nature's color and form. This series entitled "Good Tidings," is inspired by the words of the Father of the National Parks, John Muir.
Lorinda desires to share the joy found in nature with her viewers. She communicates with brevity the tension between what's there and what's not, suggesting mountain views and hilltops with a soothing and peaceful green and blue palette.
